How to hide joomla update message in administrator

If your joomla vesion or your's extensions are not the latest versions released, you will see a message in your admin panel. In Joomla! 3.4.x it will look like this.

Also you will see the similar message at your control panel after quick links:

joomla-update-backend-notification

If you for any reason don't want to see this messages, you can simply remove/disable them. Just go to Extensions -> Plugin Manager. Then you will see two plugin name as follows:

  • Quick Icon - Joomla! Extensions Updates Notification
  • Quick Icon - Joomla! Update Notification

Joomla Extensions Update Plugins

Quick Icon - Joomla! Extensions Updates Notification shows the Update extensions you used for the site. Quick Icon - Joomla! Update Notification shows the Update of joomla version. Now either disables both or any one you need.

This way you can turn off joomla cms update notification as you needed.
